We'd heard things about Mogfest, that when the sun goes down and the moon rises over the corn fields of Waldersee farm, crazy things happen. Well it turns out those crazy things are done by men with very expensive toys, Unimogs!
It's not just Mogs though, there's Volvo's, Pinzgauer's, Haflinger's and Vanagon's, lots and lots of Vanagon's. As you'd expect, there's not a lot of Unimog's driving around the PNW, especially not in a condition capable of being thrashed within an inch of their life through a mud pit of bogs, inclines and declines of off camber and whoop de doo's. So the invite gets opened up to off road vehicles of European descent.
All these vehicles come together for a long weekend of camping and tom-foolery. The camps are spread out over the farm, wherever a group can find some shade or water to setup. It's a community affair, with the Boy Scouts putting on a dinner and there's raffles for charity.
I'm terrible at stopping to take pictures of people, but here's a gallery of what I did capture. I hope to see you there next year, enjoy!
